Brief History
The MOFAKO BALUE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY with Board of Directors (MB COOP-BoD) created by the farmers of Mofako Balue; was officially authorized to operate by the Cameroon Ministry of Agriculture on September 20th 2022.
The Cooperative complies with the provisions of the Uniform Act on Cooperative Societies adopted on December 15, 2010 by the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA).
The cooperative currently has a membership of 280 Farmers and can release over 1000 metric tons of cocoa into the market. As more farmers join the cooperative, production output is expected to rise rapidly.
Our major Farms are located in 8 localities including Mofako Kindongi, Butu Matoh,3 Corners Bekondo,Mofako Butu,Lipenja and others.
Membership is open to farmers who adhere to the governing texts and pay their registration fee of 10.000CFA ($18).
Mr. Sakwe Marious is President of the Supervisory Board, assisted by Mr. Itoe Henry Mukete, Mr. Nanje Joseph Mukete and Mr. Ngoe John Itoe, who all have been cocoa farmers since 1973.
